My Thrifty Savings from Last Week

I mentioned in my Thrifty Thursday post that I hadn't had a chance to go shopping for the week yet. I ended up going on Friday and I literally shopped 'til I dropped!! I got some awesome deals, but it wasn't without a lot of hard work!! No one told me how much time and effort goes into finding the good deals... but it was TOTALLY worth it when I got home and laid out all my loot!!

I ended up going to 3 different Walgreens for a total of 4 trips, CVS, Target, and 2 different Walmarts.

Here are my 4 Wags tripped broken down by visit:

And the final outcome with all of my goodies from Wags:

I'm not gonna break all of my purchases down due to the massive amount of time it would take... but I will tell you what I ended up with and how much it cost me OOP (tax is included in my OOP costs) and my total savings.

Walgreens:

Started with Zero(0) RR (register rewards)

Came home with:
  • 4 Keebler Pecan Sandies
  • 1 Kerasal
  • 7 bottles of Ecotrin
  • 3 Tresemme Haircare Products (shampoo, conditioner, & gel)
  • 3 Aquafresh Toothpastes
  • 2 Boxes Chocolate Chip Cookies (fillers)
  • 2 Bottles Curel Lotion (fillers)
  • 1 Bag M&M's
  • 1 Box Nutripals
  • 1 Pack Orbit Gum (filler)
  • 2 10-packs of Chinet Plates
  • 2 Sidewalk chalks (fillers)
I paid $10.65 OOP and ended with 15 RR, giving me a profit of $4.35!!

Next stop, CVS:

I started with 4 ECB (extra care bucks)

Came home with:
  • 2 Speedstick Pro Deodorant (had a raincheck for past EBC deal)
  • 6 bottles of Similac Advance Formula
  • 5 Wii Remote Candy Dispensers
I paid $4.34 OOP and came home with 10 ECB, for a profit of $1.66 if you include ECB I paid out.

Next, I headed to Walmart:

I came home with:
  • Five Star Expandable Folder
  • 3 Evercare Lint Rollers
  • 4 packs of Kotex Pads (14 ct.)
  • Monkey Scissors
I paid $5.54 OOP!

Last stop was Target:

The majority of my $$ was spent at Target because I couldn't resist picking up a shirt and a few pairs of shorts for Brayden. I also got Anthony a Fusion razor and 6 refills cartridges that was on clearance. The total for the clothes and razor was $26.13... so that didn't make my savings at Target FABULOUS, but it was still a good trip!

I came home with:
  • 6 Johnson&Johnson Soap Buddies
  • 1 Baby Shampoo
  • 3 pairs of shorts
  • 1 shirt
  • 1 Airwick Stickup
  • 3 Hershey's Bliss Bars (not pictured)
  • 1 Miracle Whip
  • 2 Weleda Almond Moisture Creams
  • 1 Fusion Razor w/ 6 refill cartridges
  • 3 Edge Advanced Shave Gels
  • 1 Bottle of Acetaminophen
  • 1 Chinet Lunch Plates (72 ct.)
  • 3 Dixie Ultra Paper plates (20 ct.)
  • 2 headbands
  • 2 bottles of handsoap
I paid $44.99 OOP but without razor and clothes, I could have only paid $18.86 OOP!

Okay, so total OOP for all stores was $65.52 for $223.15 worth of merchandise and I ended the day with a profit of 15 RR and 6 ECB!!

When figuring the $223, I had to use the sale price for a few things because the original price wasn't on receipt and I didn't make a note of it. So, this means that I had a savings of 70% for the day!!

Check out my final loot for the day:

This was my 1st big outing as a couponer and thrifty spender... and I had a blast! It was a lot of work though and I was glad to finally get home and relax!! I am really excited about the amount of money I spent compared to everything I came home with. My stockpile is turning into something I can be proud of, after only a month of being thrifty!!
