He lost consciousness behind the wheel and by the grace of God only had minor injuries. They did a CT scan to check for a concussion and it came back abnormal so he had an MRI. The MRI shows that he has a brain tumor at the base of his brain stem. He is still in the hospital and met with a local neurosurgeon today. This particular doctor said he had only seen 2 of these in his 25 years practicing and is referring him to a doctor who performs this operation about 4 or 5 times a year. We are waiting to hear from this doctor tomorrow on whether or not he will take the case.
Please keep Jacob in your prayers. We are extremely close and he has always been more of a brother to me than a cousin. We are only13 months apart in age. Jacob is one of the best people I know and he doesn't deserve this. I am so torn up over this, as is the whole family. He has an awesome support system who will be by his side through it all and I know he is grateful for that. Please say a prayer for him and I will keep everyone updated.
